The Vila dos Diamantes Tour is a unique journey by land and/or river to a picturesque riverside village located 60 km from the city of Coxim – MS, in the District of Jauru, on the banks of the Jauru River. This river is the main tributary of the Coxim River, which in turn feeds the Taquari River, one of the most important waterways of the Pantanal.
The community enchants visitors with its picturesque beauty, rich stories, customs, and traditions, as well as the fascinating traces of its artisanal diamond mining past. The avifauna is truly spectacular, with frequent sightings of hyacinth macaws, scarlet macaws, and blue-and-yellow macaws.
During the experience, visitors engage in authentic encounters with former diamond miners, fishermen, and small riverside farmers, immersing themselves in the genuine lifestyle and cultural heritage of the Pantanal.
