Day 1 - Arrive at Cuiabá/Varzéa Grande airport or pick up at your hotel and transportation to the Pantanal lowlands. First we will travel 100km along a paved road, then enter the Transpantaneira road, and continue for another 37 km on dirt road, we will have good chances to spot a good number of birds and other wildlife, we will stop frequently to see and photograph the animals.
We will arrive at the Pouso Alegre lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon we will go for a walking safari looking for more animals and birds. After diner we will go out again for a night jeep safari with spotlights looking for more animals.
Overnight at Pousada Pouso Alegre.

Day 2 - Early morning bird watching walk in the open lands, here we can see herons, toucans, hawks, hyacinth macaws, ( in this lodge we can see this incredible specie for sure, they come to sleep in the trees surrounding the lodge), we can also see parrots, kingfishers, storks, 3 species of ibis and other bird species.
Return to the Lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast we go for horseback riding trip to explore away from the lodge, usually this trip takes 2 to 3 hours, it is easy, we will pass by different ecosystems so we can increase our animal list.
Return to the lodge for Lunch. After lunch depart and travel another 30 km into the Fazenda Campo Largo, along the way we will have the opportunity to see and photograph birds and wildlife. Arrive at the lodge In time for a sunset boat trip looking for wildlife. After dinner a night safari by car along the transpantaneira road to look for
wildlife, can see crab eating fox, crab eating raccoon, owls, caimans and other wildlife.
Return to the lodge for overnight at Fazenda Campo Largo.

Day 3 – Early morning walk, for birding and wildlife spotting, return to the lodge for breakfast. Choose from canoe trip to horseback tour to explore this great area rich in wildlife.
After lunch we depart and travel another 50 km into the richest and lowest regions of the Transpantaneira road. Keep your eyes peeled for endangered marsh deer, South American coati, anaconda, giant anteater, toco toucan, hyacinth macaw, and a host of other animals. Arrive at the Pousada Puma Lodge in time for dinner.

Day 4 - Depart early morning by car and drive another 30 km to the end of the road, at Porto Joffre, here we will take a boat trip to explore the Cuiaba river and its tributaries, great day for spotting wildlife. We will do some fishing for piranhas, we will be looking for giant river otters, anacondas, caimans, monkeys, and a host of other
wildlife. Return to the lodge late in the evening , making a night safari along the way back
looking for night creatures. Dinner and overnight at Puma lodge.

Day 5 - Early morning hike to observe the sunrise, and bird watching. After breakfast, we will take a hike through the wilderness of the Pantanal or if you prefer we can go for horse back riding tour to explore seldom visited areas to see more wildlife. Return to Cuiabá after lunch. Drop off at the airport or your hotel.
