Day 1 - Arrive at Cuiabá/Varzéa Grande airport or pick up at your hotel and transportation to the Pantanal lowlands. First we will travel 100km along a paved road, then enter the Transpantaneira road, and continue for another 20 km on dirt road, we will have good chances to spot a good number of birds and other wildlife, we will stop frequently to see and photograph the animals. We will arrive at the Pousada Portal Paraiso lodge in time for lunch. In the late afternoon we will go for a walking safari looking for more animals and birds. After diner we will go out again for a night jeep safari with spotlights looking for more animals. Overnight at Pousada Portal Paraiso.

Day 2 - Full day dedicated to observing the Pantanal’s flora and fauna found on the Portal Paraiso private reserve. Early morning bird watching walk in the open lands, here we can see herons, toucans, hawks, hyacinth macaws, ( in this lodge we can see this incredible specie for sure, they come to sleep in the trees surrounding the lodge), we can also see parrots, kingfishers, storks, 3 species of ibis and other bird species. Return to the Lodge for Breakfast. After breakfast we go for horseback riding trip to explore away from the lodge, usually this trip takes 2 to 3 hours, it is easy, we will pass by different ecosystems so we can increase our animal list.
Return to the lodge for Lunch. Time to rest, or just enjoy the scenery, there are a lot of birds that come around the lodge, including Greater rheas. In the afternoon we will take a jungle walk, we want to show you the forest birds, we can also spot with good luck two monkey species, and other wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner. After dinner we will make a short night walk with flashlights, we can see crab eating fox, crab eating raccoon, owls, caimans and other wildlife. Overngiht at Pousada Portal Paraiso.

Day 3 – After an early breakfast we depart and travel another 40 km and arrive at Fazenda Campo Largo, in time for lunch. Along the way we will have the opportunities to see and photograph birds and wildlife.
Lunch and, siesta time. In the afternoon we will go for a motorized boat trip on the Rio Claro, time for piranha fishing, birding, nature viewing, and photo opportunities. After dinner we will go for night safari along the transpantaneira road, good chances for Tapir, giant anteaters, fox, raccoon, and night birds. Overnight at the Fazenda Campo Largo.

Day 4 - Early morning canoe trip for bird watching and wildlife spotting. After Breakfast you can choose a Jungle walk to see more wildlife or a horseback safari through the open lands and grasslands in search of more wildlife.
After lunch return to Cuiaba, drop off at the local airport or at your hotel.
