PANTANAL WILDERNESS EXPEDITION
PANTANAL DO PAIAGUÁS

OFF THE BEATEN PATH

This is an active pantanal safari that provides intense wildlifeexperiences for the nature and outdoor enthusiasts. Pantanal do Paiaguás is relatively unvisited compared to traditional Pantanal destinations. This means we are able to see a pride of capybaras on our own without a dozen other groups converging on the same spot. We will walk and drive trails to track the big game, canoe the Taquari River to get close to caimans and river otters. Instead of staying in the usual established camps, we set up bush camps at various locations across the Pantanal, as well as having an opportunity to sample some typical local culture by spending a night at a fazenda ranch.

Both a driver and a guide accompany this active and heavilyparticipatory expedition. We provide tents, sleeping sheets, and roll mats, all of which can comfortably be carried with you and your luggage in our 4x4 truck. All cooking equipment and supplies are provided, and we also carry a large cooler box which we keep stocked with ice for as long as possible during the trip. Expedition participants are divided into cooking teams by our crew, and we share the duties cooking on gas stoves and, where appropriate, by open fire.

CLIENT TESTIMONIAL
PANTANAL DO PAIAGUAS TOUR – 8/10/03
If you have a sense of adventure, enjoy the wilderness, don’t mind getting dirty and going where no ones goes.
Well the Pantanal adventure safari is for you. I joined Carlos for 7 days in a remote part of the Pantanal exploring parts where tourists have never been. I viewed some of the greatest birds on the planet, the Jabiru, toucan and the beautiful macaw just to mention very few of the 650 species found in Pantanal.
I also saw the giant anteater with was very rewarding. Carlos knows the hush very well and it was a pleasure learning about the Pantanal from him.
Simon-Brisbane.
