SOUTH
PANTANAL CAMPING EXPEDITIONS
ADVENTURE
TOURS FOR THE OUTDOOR ENTHUSIAST
OFF THE BEATEN TRACK
Some
of the world’s best wildlife watching awaits visitors
to the south Pantanal. Species of mammals and birds that
are considered endangered and rarely seen in most other
regions are relatively widespread in the South Pantanal,
where wildlife observation is particularly easy.
PANTANAL ECOEXPLORER runs a variety of ecologically-orientated
Pantanal camping tours throughout the most central parts
of the Pantanal, including the Pantanal do Rio Negro and
Pantanal do Paiaguas, parts of the Pantanal that few travelers
have yet discovered. Fantastic wildlife photographic opportunities,
track jaguars, maned wolves, tapirs, anteaters, and pumas.
Great birding. Explore remote tributaries by motor boat
and canoes. Treks along hidden trails. We travel in 4WD
vehicles and camp under the stars. All camping equipment
and meals are provided.
Our groups are small (4 - 8 people at a time), our impact
is low, and the experience is unforgettable. Do not expect
large crowds and a party atmosphere on our tours.
We offer truly environmentally-responsible tours, suited
for genuine nature lovers looking to get away from the
tourist hordes.
Trips are led by some of the most knowledgeable guides
operating in the south Pantanal. These professional guides
teach our guests about their culture, local politics,
and natural history.
We ensure that most of your time is spent in the wilderness,
enjoying wildlife and what it has to offer. Our aim is
to provide you with the ultimate Pantanal adventure.
Daily departures all year round from Campo Grande,
capital of Mato Grosso do Sul state.

7 D / 4 N - COXIM AND PANTANAL DO PAIAGUAS
TOUR
RIVER AND LAND SAFARI – WILDLIFE AND REMOTE TRAILS
This is an active pantanal safari that provides intense wildlifeexperiences
for the nature and outdoor enthusiasts. Pantanal do Paiaguás
is relatively unvisited compared to traditional Pantanal destinations.
This means we are able to see a pride of capybaras on our
own without a dozen other groups converging on the same spot.
We will walk and drive trails to track the big game, canoe
the Taquari River to get close to caimans and river otters.
Instead of staying in the usual established camps, we set
up bush camps at various locations across the Pantanal, as
well as having an opportunity to sample some typical local
culture by spending a night at a fazenda ranch.
Tours depart from Campo Grande on pre-arranged dates. Read
